Degussa Novara Technology:高纯氧化硅玻璃SiVARA®生产工艺
Degussa Novara Technology has introduced the SiVARA® process for manufacturing high-purity silica glass, providing a major improvement in the production of fiber optics and special glass-molded bodies for a variety of uses, including semiconductor and optical applications. According to Andreas Rückemann, Ph.D., president of Degussa Novara Technology, the new sol-gel manufacturing process, which takes advantage of the principle of gelling a liquid precursor at room temperature in a mold, provides a low-cost alternative to most of the current manufacturing processes for glass objects, which normally require one or more cutting, grinding and polishing steps.
